How to Expand a Wooden Playpen

Expansion panels, activity panels and a door panel let a ZETY playpen grow and change shape with your child.

One reason parents choose a wooden playpen is that it is not a fixed box. Because it is built from panels, you can add to it as your child gets bigger or your space changes.

Starting from scratch? The 10-panel Geometry playpen sets up at 95 x 63 inches, the largest ZETY layout, and the 8-panel at 63 x 63 inches. Our size guide compares the two.

What you can add

Each panel is 24 x 30 inches and connects with the same tool-free connectors as the playpen. If a panel is ever damaged, contact us and we can send a replacement part.

When to expand

Add panels when a crawler turns into a cruiser and needs more room to move, or when a sibling joins the play area. Panels also let you change the shape, such as a longer rectangle along a wall or a layout that wraps a corner.

Before you rebuild

Measure the new footprint before you order, and keep clearance from furniture a child could climb. If you use a play mat, check it still covers the floor inside the larger layout. Check every connector after you rebuild the pen.

Expansion panels are made for compatible ZETY wooden playpens. If you are not sure which pen you have, send us your order number and we will confirm.
