Acoustic Wall Panels (White)

White is the finish to choose when you want the texture and not the weight. Wood panelling warms a room and darkens it at the same time. A white slat wall keeps the relief and the shadow lines but gives back the light, so a small room, a north-facing room, or a hallway with no window still reads as open once the wall is done.

Each panel is a run of vertical slats on a felt backing. The slats break up a flat, hard surface and the felt behind them takes in some of the sound that would otherwise come straight back into the room. In a home office that shows up on calls. In a bedroom or a finished basement it shows up as a room that sounds smaller than it is. These panels soften echo and reverberation. They are not a sound barrier and will not stop noise travelling through the wall itself.

Because the slats and the felt behind them are both light, the wall reads as one surface rather than as stripes. What you see is the shadow between the slats, and that shadow moves through the day as the light in the room changes. Core, slats, spacing and hardware are the same as our natural oak, walnut, black and cherry panels. The finish is the only thing that changes.

A four-pack covers 31.5 square feet. That is a headboard wall, a chimney breast, or the section behind a desk. Panels mount to drywall or to a ceiling with the included black screws and a drill, and a staple gun works if you would rather move quickly. They cut cleanly with a saw, so outlets, switches and corners are not a problem. Measure the wall, divide by twelve inches, and round up.
